I actually love the extra hour now that my kids sleep in. But sunset at 430 is no fun.
Agreed – I don’t like being at work for all the sunlight hours of the day!
My son fell asleep at 8:30 pm on Halloween which was like going to bed at 7:30 pm. While many children have this as a usual bedtime, it doesn’t work that way in our household. It only meant he woke up at 2:30 am on November 1, but then I had to turn the clock back so it was then it was 1:30 am. We ended up driving to Denny’s (an American diner chain that is open 24-hours) for breakfast at 4:30 am.
He did fall back asleep mid-morning. I crawled under the covers to block the beautiful sunshine and take a nap, but my neighbor started mowing his yard.

Failure all around then? I’m sorry. Kids and animals just don’t seem to understand time changes, haha!
Also who mows their lawn first thing on a Sunday? Boo!
