Family Friday

Happy Friday, everyone.

It’s Remembrance Day here in Canada, and a few other countries too.

I had the day off work for the holiday so I did the five hour drive through the mountains to get to my mom’s place, where a group of my family is gathering for the weekend. So you’ll forgive me for the short post…

This is not my family. But if it was can you guess which one I’d be?

I’ll give you a hint: not the one with the pink hair (although my avatar might suggest otherwise).

If you guessed thumbs up girl, you got it! The only cousin/sibling not in a couple, that’s me.

I’m tempted to say “it is what it is” but that’s not quite right. There’s a different phrase I’m looking for…

Because asides from being the single AF cousin, I have a more important reputation to uphold: the cousin that will kick your butt at board games, or as I’ve recently been called, “The Board Game Beast.” I’ll take it, especially as I have just put another notch in my belt by winning at the game my cousin’s new boyfriend just taught me.

“If you can’t join them, beat them.” There we go! I found my phrase!

Anyways, back to Family Friday for me, there are more games to be won!
